What are two of your favorite restaurants?

Why do we want to know? As you may know, we sell 95% of our wine direct to you at home. The remaining 5% is sold at top California restaurants. Uncle Scott and Grandfather decided to do this when we began selling wine in 1984. Since we didn’t (and still don’t) submit our wines to any judges and we don’t have a big PR budget, sommeliers and restaurant owners were (and still are!) a great way to demonstrate the quality of Hafner wine when little was known about us.

Although selling to restaurants is a small percentage or our overall business, it’s an important part and it’s also fun for us. To kickoff the new year, we are looking at expanding to a few new California accounts and thought who best to ask than YOU… our patrons who are Hafner experts, discriminating diners and know your locale better than us.

We would love for you to send us two of your favorite restaurants that you go to on special occasions. Think: date night, special dinner out, friends coming to town. As my Grandmother would say, “white tablecloth establishments”. (If you want to explain briefly why you recommend those, you’re welcome to but it is not necessary.)

If you want to add one more favorite locals’ place that’s very popular, usually having a wait and in the mid-range dining price point, we’d love to hear that as well.
