Holiday Gift Tags
- November 28, 2016
As the Holidays approach, excitement builds in our house. Not because we are expecting wonderful gifts (although that always seems to happen), but because we gather together for many meals. Our dinners have a purpose like planning the menu for Thanksgiving (yes, you need a planning dinner just in case you decide to have something other than turkey and stuffing) or decorating the Christmas tree (always good to have homemade soup simmering in the kitchen to entice everyone to stay until the last ornament is hung!)
My favorite dinners are when we have wrapping parties—Parke is in charge of dinner and the rest of us gather around card tables with rolls of wrapping paper, tape and ribbons strewn across them. We do have some order—boxes of gifts sit neatly in piles waiting to be wrapped and wrapped ones go under the tree. There is a small table set near the tree covered with gift tags, both old and new. Thanks to my daughters, we have saved many gift tags over the years, but I also enjoy creating new ones every year.
For me, the gift tag enhances the wrapping and makes the gift more enticing. We thought it would be fun to share one of my gift tag templates that you can print and use this Holiday Season and throughout the year. These are some of my favorite watercolors I’ve created over the years. Enjoy!
