Our winemaking style is traditional, often referred to as “Old World” and is inspired by Winemaker Parke Hafner's time in Burgundy, France. As grape growers and winemakers, we know that wine, to a large extent, is made in the vineyard while winemaking determines the quality. All our wines are estate bottled at our winery in Alexander Valley.
When making Hafner wine, Parke focuses on elegance, finesse and balance, rather than richness and power. Our wines tend to be lower in alcohol and higher in acidity. This increases the age-ability of our wines and their compatibility with food.
With the vineyard just 30 feet from the winery, Parke and Vineyard Manager David Huebel work closely to ensure we produce exceptional fruit and create top quality wine. We release our wines with greater aging than most other wineries and always have Library selections of older vintages available throughout the year.
